From caring for one family member to caring for many . . .

Clinton House was founded by Jan Welsh over 34 years ago, inspired by a deeply personal experience, where Jan watched her own mother dedicate herself to caring for her grandmother, ‘Granny Clinton’, at home. Seeing both the love involved and the physical and emotional demands placed on family carers left a lasting impression.

Determined to create a place where our family elders could receive compassionate, dignified care while families felt supported, Jan established Clinton House Nursing Home.

Named in honour of ‘Granny Clinton’, the home was built on the belief that everyone deserves to be cared for with kindness, respect and a sense of belonging.

Today, Jan’s values remain at the heart of Clinton House, guiding the next generation as we continue the family tradition of caring for others as we would our own loved ones.
